This is my son’s last school Valentine’s party. {Insert my tears here…} He will enter the grown up world of middle school next year, so I wanted to send him off with some really cute personalized Valentines. I must thank my wonderful husband for his fabulous photography work…
First, we did a photo shoot with my adorable little boy, and chose the best picture. You will need plenty of room to add words and for the candy flower.
Next, add a Valentine’s message. I used PicMonkey.com, but there are a variety of software packages that would accomplish this as well.
There are a million ways you could create the flowers. I bought a heart flower shape from the Silhouette store for under $1 and cut it out on my Silhouette Cameo machine.
Using an X-Acto knife, cut a space large enough for the individually wrapped Twizzler to slide into along the line of the hand.
Insert the Twizzler and top it off with the flower. I taped the Twizzler to the back of the photo to keep it attached.
My son loved his Valentines! I, of course, made myself one to sit on my desk, so I could see that precious little smiling face all day…
