For those of you who have been with me awhile, you have heard extensively about the many addictions I have fought over the years. When the opportunity arose for me to do a 31-day series via The Nester, the first subject that came to mind was food addiction.
This is the one dependency I have been allowed to keep as I have told myself it doesn’t hurt anyone else in my life. However, the time has come to face the facts, it does hurt the people I love.
Because of my food issues, I am a terrible influence on my kids. They end up eating the same junk I do and we get very little exercise due to the exhaustion lack of good nutrition causes. I will certainly not live as long as I should or with the quality of life I deserve if I continue to binge on the fried, sugary, and highly processed foods that make up my entire daily intake.
I plan to dive much deeper into the reasons for cutting out these types of foods over the next 31 days so please join me on this journey…
